Baseball Recap: Taft Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Shafter hit Taft with a eight-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats fell just short of the Generals by a score of 10-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 on Tuesday.

Cash Clark put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Clark was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Dylan Clark was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Taft's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-13. As for Shafter, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
