Soccer Game Preview: Saint James vs. Booker T. Washington

The Saint James Trojans will square off against the Booker T. Washington Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Saint James' favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Booker T. Washington has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Saint James' defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on LAMP with a sharp 4-0 win. The result was nothing new for Saint James, who have now won six games by four goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Booker T. Washington's offense. They lost 10-0 to Trinity Presbyterian on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Booker T. Washington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 220th, while Trinity Presbyterian are ranked 39th).

Saint James is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 42 goals over those eight matches. As for Booker T. Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
