Basketball Recap: Amani Hayward Key Part of Team Effort in Warriors Win + How To Watch

East Gaston lost to Highland Tech back in February, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Warriors came out on top against the Rams by a score of 52-41. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

East Gaston's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amani Hayward, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds. Hayward has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of KJ Smith, who posted 13 points and four steals.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Irvin Thompson, who had nine points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Kypten Polston, who went 5-for-6 to rack up 14 points.
