Soccer Game Preview: Nacogdoches vs. Mt. Pleasant

The Nacogdoches Dragons will challenge the Mt. Pleasant Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Nacogdoches' last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

If Mt. Pleasant heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Nacogdoches took over last week. Nacogdoches came out on top in a nail-biter against Pine Tree on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. The result kept the Dragons happy, as they haven't lost a game yet this season.

Christian Padilla and Lionel Castro scored both of Nacogdoches' goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Mt. Pleasant's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They and Memorial finished up their game with a 0-0 draw. The result kept the Tigers happy, as they haven't lost a game yet this season.

Mt. Pleasant's draw gives them a new season record of 3-0-2. As for Nacogdoches, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0-1.
