Baseball Game Preview: Blacklick Valley Vikings vs. North Star Cougars

Blacklick Valley is 1-9 against North Star since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Blacklick Valley will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on North Star at 4:15 p.m. Blacklick Valley is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

On Friday, Blacklick Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Purchase Line, taking the game 6-3.

The team relied heavily on Collin Nedrich, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Ethan Luko, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, North Star came up short against Williamsburg on Thursday, falling 14-6.

Cash Hawkins was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Lasky, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

North Star's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Blacklick Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
