Soccer Recap: Green Forest Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Green Forest proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Gentry Pioneers, sneaking past 1-0. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Green Forest's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas soccer rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Gentry are ranked 48th).

Green Forest pushed their record up to 13-1-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five matches. As for Gentry, they now have a losing record of 4-5-4.
