Sheridan Hills Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Horeb Christian Mustangs 3-0 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Sharks in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won eight in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Sheridan Hills Christian was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-4, 25-11.

Mahaila Senatus paced Sheridan Hills Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. Senatus got some help from Gianna Kressin and her seven assists. Deborah Point Du Jour controlled things from the service line, finishing with 17 aces.

Horeb Christian is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Sheridan Hills Christian is taking a road trip to challenge Franklin Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Horeb Christian, they will take on Basilica in a tournament on Saturday.
