Football Recap: Attica Comes Up Short

Attica fell victim to Covington and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Trojans 53-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Ramblers in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost nine in a row.

Hayden Elliot threw for 32 yards on three of 11 attempts. On the ground, Lucas Griffis rushed for 56 yards.

Leading Covington to victory were Beau Bishop and Sully Stadler. Bishop rushed for 104 yards and three scores on only eight carries, while Stadler rushed for 182 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries. Stadler's longest rush was for an incredible 89 yards. Another big playmaker for Covington was Kyven Hill, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Attica's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Covington, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Attica wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 32-13 defeat against South Vermillion on the 17th. As for Covington, they have also already played their next game, a 52-6 loss against Riverton Parke on the 17th.
