Herscher posted their closest win since November 26, 2025 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Coal City Coalers 38-35. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Herscher's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Coal City, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-8.
