Fernandina Beach struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Sandalwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaden Toure led the charge by scoring 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Hodges, who scored 13 points.
Fernandina Beach's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-10. As for Sandalwood, their win bumped their record up to 7-14.
Fernandina Beach will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Yulee at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Yulee's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches. As for Sandalwood, they will face off against Mandarin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mandarin presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sandalwood in Florida (Mandarin is ranked 227th, while Sandalwood is ranked 471st).
