On Friday, Fernandina Beach was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 45-39 to Sandalwood. Fernandina Beach has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fernandina Beach's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Landtroop, who scored 14 points. Jake Aronowitz was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.

Fernandina Beach struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Sandalwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaden Toure led the charge by scoring 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Hodges, who scored 13 points.

As for Sandalwood, they will face off against Mandarin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mandarin presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sandalwood in Florida (Mandarin is ranked 227th, while Sandalwood is ranked 471st).
