The Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders will be playing at home against the Clayton Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cardinal Gibbons is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.

Cardinal Gibbons is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Garner 16-14.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed 11 in total. All those points came courtesy of Evan Windley: he added nine points with three field goals and another on an extra-point kick.

Meanwhile, Clayton faced Southeast Raleigh in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Comets enjoyed a cozy 35-21 victory over the Bulldogs.

Cardinal Gibbons' record now sits at 12-1. As for Clayton, their record is now 11-2.
