Permian is 9-1 against Midland since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Permian Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Midland Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Permian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Permian challenged San Angelo Central on Friday. Permian blew past San Angelo Central, posting a 76-49 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Midland hadn't done well against Odessa recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Midland managed a 46-41 victory over Odessa. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Permian pushed their record up to 18-8 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points per game. As for Midland, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-17.

Everything came up roses for Permian against Midland when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 61-34 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Permian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
