The North Providence Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the Providence Country Day Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

North Providence can't be too happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Thursday. They came up short against Scituate, falling 57-37. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the defeat, North Providence had strong showings from Makenna Heon, who posted 13 points and three blocks, and Mariana Xavier, who had nine points.

Meanwhile, Providence Country Day played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 72-18 loss at the hands of Lincoln School. The Knights were down 60-16 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Everything came up roses for North Providence against Providence Country Day in their previous meeting back in February, as the squad secured a 65-35 win. In that contest, the Cougars amassed a halftime lead of 37-17, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
