Mater Dei has gone 9-1 against Servite recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Mater Dei Monarchs will venture away from home to challenge the Servite Friars at 5:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

Mater Dei not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 4th. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Santa Margarita.

Mater Dei never let Santa Margarita on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Servite can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They put the hurt on JSerra Catholic with a sharp 3-0 win.

Servite's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Mater Dei, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Mater Dei came out on top in a nail-biter against Servite when the teams last played back in March of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mater Dei since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
