Baseball Recap: Reynolds Raiders vs. Sharpsville Blue Devils
Reynolds had lost ten straight at home dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 1-9 to make it 11. They lost 14-2 to the Sharpsville Blue Devils. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 11-2 to the Blue Devils when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Sharpsville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7. The contest marked their most dominant win of the season so far.
For Sharpsville's part, Travis Wilding made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Wilding has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
