Baseball Recap: Rancho Alamitos' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Rancho Alamitos can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Los Amigos Lobos 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vaqueros have posted since March 25th.

Henry Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Rancho Alamitos' victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Ballesta, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Ballesta has become a key player for the Vaqueros: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-9 otherwise.

Rancho Alamitos' record is now 8-10. As for Los Amigos, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
