Soccer Game Preview: Brantley County vs. Pierce County

Brantley County is 0-10 against Pierce County since March of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Herons will face off against the Bears at 5:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Brantley County is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game last Tuesday. They came up short against Jeff Davis, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Brantley County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 340th, while Jeff Davis are ranked 111th).

Meanwhile, Pierce County unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak last Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Savannah Arts Academy.

Brantley County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Pierce County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Brantley County might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Pierce County in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Herons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
