Volleyball Recap: Duchesne Eagles vs. South Summit Wildcats
Duchesne won the last time they faced South Summit and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Wildcats.
Duchesne had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 28-26, 25-22, 25-13.
Kira Grant paced Duchesne's offense, picking up 12 kills. Grant really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 18. Presli Young controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Duchesne's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for South Summit, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season.
