Catskill has gone 7-1 against Greenville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Cats will take on the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. Greenville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Catskill, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Catskill got the win against Cairo-Durham by a conclusive 8-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cats.

Demetrio Morales tossed a big game, striking out 13 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk).

At the plate, Will Cummings and Kayden Dolan did most of the damage at the plate: Cummings went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two RBI, while Dolan scored a run while going 1-for-1. Austin June was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Greenville didn't have quite enough to beat Hudson on Friday and fell 2-1. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Bluehawks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Catskill's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Greenville, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Catskill took their win against Greenville when the teams last played back in May of 2022 by a conclusive 14-8 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
