Volleyball Recap: Minooka Comes Up Short

Minooka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Downers Grove North Trojans. The Indians were not able to make up for their defeat to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Jayce Moore paced Minooka's offense, picking up nine kills. Moore got some help from Nicholas Boyce and his 11 assists.

Minooka's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Downers Grove North, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

Coincidentally, Minooka and Downers Grove North will both be playing St. Francis the next time they take the court. The Trojans will head out to face the Spartans at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
