Clarkstown South has gone a perfect 4-0 against Greeley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Vikings will look to defend their home field against the Quakers at 4:30 p.m. Clarkstown South will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Clarkstown South came out on top against Clarkstown North on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Vikings walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Rams.

The team relied heavily on Kenny Johnston, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Speckenbach, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Greeley came into Tuesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Briarcliff by a score of 5-2 on Tuesday.

Mike McCarville looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Greeley is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-5 otherwise.

At the plate, Cole Stein was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple and one run. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Matthew Reynolds also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Clarkstown South pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Greeley, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
