Preview: South Bend Clay Colonials vs. Concord Minutemen
The South Bend Clay Colonials will head out on the road to face off against the Concord Minutemen at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. South Bend Clay is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Saturday, South Bend Clay was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 32-27 to LaVille. South Bend Clay has struggled against LaVille recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, South Bend Clay got a solid performance out of Delilah Castaneda, who scored 12 points. The match was Castaneda's third in a row with at least ten points.
Meanwhile, everything went Concord's way against La Porte on Saturday as Concord made off with a 46-26 win.
South Bend Clay's win bumped their season record to 1-10 while LaVille's loss dropped theirs to 3-6.
South Bend Clay took a serious blow against Concord when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 54-25. Can South Bend Clay avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
