Football Game Preview: Largo Packers vs. St. Petersburg Green Devils + How To Watch

The Largo Packers will face off against the St. Petersburg Green Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Largo will be strutting in after a win while St. Petersburg will be coming in after a defeat.

Largo is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down Palm Harbor University 35-16 on Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Largo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anthony Harris, who rushed for 85 yards, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. Keanu Cooper was another key back, rushing for 56 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.

Meanwhile, St. Petersburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 22-14 to Southeast.

Largo will have to keep a close watch on Cole Underwood and Blake Dickinson, a pair of players who had a big impact on St. Petersburg's prior game. Underwood threw for 318 yards and one TD while completing 74.1% of his passes, while Dickinson picked up 180 receiving yards and one score. Dickinson really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 84 yards.

St. Petersburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Largo, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Largo came up short against St. Petersburg in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 20-7. Thankfully for the Packers, Jeffery Jones (who rushed for 119 yards and one touchdown on only five carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
