Softball Game Preview: Tipton Christian Academy Eagles vs. St. George's Gryphons

The Tipton Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the St. George's Gryphons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tipton Christian Academy has four straight wins, St. George's has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Thursday, Tipton Christian Academy made easy work of Fayette Ware and carried off a 20-6 victory. Fans of the Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Meanwhile, St. George's fell victim to Houston and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-0.

St. George's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Tipton Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Tipton Christian Academy took their victory against St. George's when the teams last played back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 16-4 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gryphons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
