Volleyball Game Preview: Oakwood Comets vs. Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes + How To Watch

The Oakwood Comets will venture away from home to square off against the Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Oakwood came up short against Fisher and fell 2-0.

Oakwood was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Georgetown-Ridge Farm had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Vikings. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-14.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Oakwood, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Oakwood came out on top in a nail-biter against Georgetown-Ridge Farm when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Buffaloes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
