Soccer Game Preview: Columbia Central vs. Warren County

The Columbia Central Lions will face off against the Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Columbia Central is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Shelbyville Central on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 1-0. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Lions couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Warren County won against White County on Friday with five goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Tuesday. Everything went Warren County's way against Spring Hill as Warren County made off with a 5-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers.

Warren County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Columbia Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Columbia Central took their win against Warren County when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0. Will Columbia Central repeat their success, or does Warren County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
