Volleyball Recap: Mansfield Timberview Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mansfield Timberview was the 3-0 winner over Cleburne when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolves fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 3-2 on Friday. While the Wolves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Yellowjackets 25-15 in the first set.

Mansfield Timberview actually scored more points across those five sets (110-108), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 28-26, 25-23, 25-27, 15-9.

Loss or not, Mansfield Timberview got some senior leadership from Neysha Marte and Chloe Madison. Marte had 21 assists and 19 digs, while Madison had 19 digs and five assists. With that strong performance, Madison is now averaging an impressive 11 digs per game. Aminat Ogunbiyi also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Cleburne was led to victory by Haley Price and Adeline Leifeste. Price had 29 assists and 19 digs, while Leifeste had 29 digs and two assists. Price has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Mansfield Timberview's defeat dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Cleburne, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 9-17.
