Hillcrest will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Paul W. Bryant on Tuesday. Hillcrest was the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over Paul W. Bryant.

Meanwhile, Thompson faced Vestavia Hills in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Thompson took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vestavia Hills. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Thompson's loss dropped their record down to 8-4-1. As for Hillcrest, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
