Basketball Game Preview: Arrupe Jesuit Generals vs. Sheridan Rams

The Arrupe Jesuit Generals will face off against the Sheridan Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Arrupe Jesuit's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Sheridan has been banged up by 14 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

While Arrupe Jesuit didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They breezed by Platte Canyon to the tune of 78-46 on Tuesday. The Generals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sheridan). They walked away with a 61-50 victory over Jefferson on Monday.

Sheridan's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Arrupe Jesuit, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Arrupe Jesuit was able to grind out a solid win over Sheridan when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 52-39. Will Arrupe Jesuit repeat their success, or does Sheridan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
