Baseball Recap: Bucklin Gets the Win

Bucklin won the last time they faced Minneola and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Red Aces came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Aces.

Jack Willems made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run was his first of the season.

The win got Bucklin back to even at 3-3. As for Minneola, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bucklin will square off against Skyline at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Minneola, they will challenge Ellis at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
