Basketball Recap: Grafton Comes Up Short

Grafton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 65-38 defeat at the hands of the Elkins Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-40 back in January.

Grafton's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Elkins, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Coming up, Grafton will venture away from home to challenge Tucker County at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Elkins, they will square off against Charleston Catholic at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Elkins' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
