Softball Recap: Lewisville Lions vs. Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers
Lewisville extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 16-9 in the process. They lost 6-0 to the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Lions haven't been shut out since back in March.
As for Legion Collegiate Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-7-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.
For Legion Collegiate Academy's part, Lewisville's batters probably weren't too happy with Amelia Mason, who pitched a no hitter and racked up six Ks (she gave up a single walk). Mason has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, El Desermia was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Macie Tillman, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Looking ahead, Lewisville will face off against Buford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Legion Collegiate Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
