Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elm Creek). They blew past the Loomis Wolves 69-36 on Friday. The Buffaloes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 26 points or more this season.

Elm Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryann Erickson, who went 5 for 6 on her way to 10 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. Erickson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Halle Knapp, who went 7 of 13 on her way to 17 points.

Elm Creek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Despite the defeat, Loomis saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sophia Schemper posted 13 points and seven rebounds.

Elm Creek's record now sits at 10-1. As for Loomis, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Elm Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-26 victory against Centura on the 11th. As for Loomis, they will head out to challenge Arapahoe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
