Recap: Austin Maroons vs. Dripping Springs Tigers
The Austin Maroons waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 46-27 win over Dripping Springs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Austin also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Austin was led to victory by Jill Shirk and Kemah Shaw. Shirk scored 15 points along with six rebounds, while Shaw scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Shaw hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Foley Anderson, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
Austin is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-17 record this season. As for Dripping Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Bowie the next time they take the court. Dripping Springs will head out to face Bowie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Austin will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
