Softball Game Preview: Northeast Vikings vs. Broadmoor Buccaneers

The Northeast Vikings will face off against the Broadmoor Buccaneers at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Northeast is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost 15-0 to Dunham.

Meanwhile, Broadmoor fell victim to White Castle and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 21-0. Having soared to a lofty 34 runs in the game before, the Buccaneers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Broadmoor's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Northeast, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Northeast's way against Broadmoor in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Northeast made off with a 20-6 win. Will Northeast repeat their success, or does Broadmoor have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
