Baseball Recap: Vermont Academy Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

Vermont Academy entered their tilt with Tilton School on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 13-1 win. Considering the Wildcats have won three matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Milo Tucker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Tucker was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Vermont Academy let Lucas Sinacola and Logan Sinacola run wild. Lucas scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Logan scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Eli Boxer was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Vermont Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tilton School only posted an OBP of .316.

Vermont Academy pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Tilton School, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
