Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Carroll Tigers 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 25-17.

Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sofia Barrera, who had six digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Barrera a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilyana Garza, who had nine digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in five consecutive matches.
