Softball Game Preview: Banning Pilots vs. Gardena Panthers

Banning is a perfect 10-0 against Gardena since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Pilots will be playing at home against the Panthers at 3:15 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Banning and five for Gardena.

Banning saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of South by a score of 9-8.

Kourtney Talanoa made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kali Sue, who went 3-for-5 with one home run.

Narbonne hit Gardena with a seven-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers lost 11-1 to the Gauchos.

Gardena's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Banning, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Banning took their victory against Gardena in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 25-0 score. Will the Pilots repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
