Soccer Game Preview: Saline vs. Pioneer

The Saline Hornets will challenge the Pioneer Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saline will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Saline had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the eight-goal drubbing they dealt Chelsea on Friday. The Hornets' defense stepped up to hand the Bulldogs an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Saline, who have now won ten games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Pioneer and Skyline finished up their match with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Saline pushed their record up to 14-0-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 56 goals over those nine contests. Pioneer's draw gives them a new season record of 7-4-4.

Saline was able to grind out a solid win over Pioneer when the teams last played back in April, winning 2-0. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Pioneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
