Basketball Recap: Blanchet Catholic Comes Up Short

Blanchet Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dayton Pirates. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-35 back in December of 2024.

Blanchet Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Dayton, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-8.

Blanchet Catholic has already played their next match (against Taft), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Dayton will be playing in front of their home fans against Willamina at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
