Fort Plain proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 14) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Johnstown Sir Bills 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hilltoppers have posted since May 3, 2024.

Jordon Gomez made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. Gomez was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases and one run.
