Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Roosevelt). Everything went their way against the Huntington Park Spartans on Wednesday as they made off with an 18-6 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Rough Riders as it put an end to their 13-game losing streak.

Roosevelt's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-14. As for Huntington Park, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Roosevelt will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Spartans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
