Sparkman took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Hoover, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Sparkman Senators sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Hoover Buccaneers on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Senators as they're now sitting on five straight.

Sparkman saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Mayfield, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Laila Watkins was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Sparkman hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most two strikeouts in three consecutive matches.

Sparkman's record is now 8-2. As for Hoover, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Sparkman has already played their next contest, a 6-4 loss against Auburn on the 28th. Hoover has also already played their next game (against Sardis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
