Basketball Recap: Harlan Takes a Loss

Harlan suffered their biggest defeat since December 7, 2024 on Saturday. They were dealt a 90-61 loss at the hands of the Knox Central Panthers. The defeat continues a trend for the Green Dragons in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Harlan's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Knox Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harlan will take on South Laurel at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harlan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully South Laurel likes a good challenge. As for Knox Central, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Knox Central Panthers take on the Morgan County Cougars at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
