Cardinal Newman is a perfect 3-0 against Ukiah since March of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cardinals will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Thursday, Cardinal Newman didn't have quite enough to beat Sonoma Valley and fell 3-2.

Cardinal Newman actually scored more points across those five sets (95-94), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16, 11-25, 18-25, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Ukiah came up short against Sonoma Valley on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-13, 25-23.

Ukiah's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Cardinal Newman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Cardinal Newman was able to grind out a solid victory over Ukiah when the teams last played back in March, winning 3-1. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
