Basketball Game Preview: Hiawatha Red Hawks vs. Silver Lake Eagles

The Hiawatha Red Hawks will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the Silver Lake Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hiawatha is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

On Tuesday, Hiawatha earned a 51-38 win over Sabetha.

Hiawatha can attribute much of their success to Kenzie Nelson, who posted 16 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Adison Williams, who put up seven points along with five assists and five boards.

Hiawatha smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Silver Lake beat Rossville 62-53 on Tuesday.

Hiawatha pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Silver Lake, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
