Baseball Game Preview: Brookfield Academy Blue Knights vs. Heritage Christian Patriots

Brookfield Academy has gone a perfect 10-0 against Heritage Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Blue Knights will welcome the Patriots at 4:30 p.m. Brookfield Academy will be strutting in after a win while Heritage Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Brookfield Academy got the win against Catholic Central by a conclusive 13-3.

Kolton Nimmer was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Nimmer was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Luke Rogutich was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Noah Thompson was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Heritage Christian's offense. They came up short against Lake Country Lutheran on Tuesday, falling 16-0.

Brookfield Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Heritage Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 5-1. Will the Blue Knights repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
