It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Taft can now relate to. They lost 9-3 to the Rio Hondo Prep Kares on Tuesday. The Toreadors' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Taft saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adriana Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Taft's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Rio Hondo Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Taft does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rio Hondo Prep, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 defeat against Pioneer Valley on the 5th.
