Basketball Game Preview: Sauquoit Valley Indians vs. Dolgeville Blue Devils

The Sauquoit Valley Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Dolgeville Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 11 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Sauquoit Valley and three for Dolgeville.

Last Friday, Sauquoit Valley lost to Waterville at home by a 68-49 margin. While losing is never fun, Sauquoit Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 693rd, while Waterville is ranked 121st).

Meanwhile, Dolgeville played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Frankfort-Schuyler 80-46. The Blue Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-20.

Dolgeville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Sauquoit Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Sauquoit Valley might still be hurting after the 52-26 defeat they got from Dolgeville when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Sauquoit Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
