Volleyball Recap: Willow Canyon's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Willow Canyon had won two straight games and Ben Perkins did his part to make it three on Friday. The Wildcats blew past the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs 3-0 for which the team can thank Perkins, who had eight digs, five kills, and one block. He has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 31 times he's played.

One reason for the win was Willow Canyon's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 25-18.

Willow Canyon's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-9. As for Sunrise Mountain, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Willow Canyon will challenge Mountain Pointe at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sunrise Mountain, they will face off against Kellis at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
